Vernon High grad makes mark at Lycoming

Vernon - Alfonso John (AJ) Francavilla, a 2004 graduate of Vernon High, is making his mark at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. Francavilla, a junior majoring in biology, was elected president of the Student Senate at the college, one of the 50 oldest institutions of higher learning in the U.S. Lycoming, a small liberal arts college of 1,500 students, traces its history to 1812. The college boasts a reputation for academic excellence. In addition to serving as president of the Student Senate, Francavilla is chair of the resident life advisory board and the CAB concert publicity committee. He is a member of the food and budget committees and of the SOS staff. He is also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and the Tri-Beta Honor Society.
