NEWTON — Bill Evans, the Senior Meteorologist for WABC's Eyewitness News in the Morning and Eyewitness at Noon, will be holding an open meteorological lecture at the Performing Arts Center at Sussex County Community College (SCCC) followed by a book signing for his new weather-thriller, Dry Ice. The lecture will be held on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. and will feature weather videos along with a question-and-answer session. Working at WABC since 1989, Evans has won multiple Emmy Awards for his work as Senior Meteorologist for New York's WABC-TV, Channel 7. He has also been seen regularly on Good Morning America and can be heard nationally on the ABC Radio Network, Martha Stewart Living Radio, ESPN Radio and ESPN Sports Center, and in the New York metropolitan area on WPLJ-FM. In 2011, Evans received an honorary Doctorate in Letters of Humanity from Dowling College. Evans and his family live in Connecticut. Dry Ice is the third book Evans has co-authored with Marianna Jameson. Both Frozen Fire and Category 7 have become New York Times bestsellers. The newest thriller pairs technological advances with meteorology to address modern climate issues through adventure and romance.
