Wildcats-6 hold off Hopatcong 51-46 in Lakeland League regular season finale

On Friday, February 24, the West Milford PAL Wildcats-6 travel basketball team held off a furious Hopatcong rally to escape with a 51-46 victory in their Lakeland League regular season finale. The triumph was the Wildcats’ twentieth win of the season. Josh Basket (13 points), John Quazza (10), Nick Conlon (9), Tyler Maurer (8), Aidan Stewart (5), John Buechel (2), Garvin Jones (2), and Steven Cowdin (2) helped keep the scoreboard busy for West Milford. Casey Terramoccia, Maurer, Basket, and Jones dished out three assists apiece. On defense, Quazza hauled down 14 boards for the Wildcats, while Basket and Jones heisted three Hopatcong passes each. The Wildcats-6 will open their Lakeland League playoff run on Friday, March 3, at 6 p.m., at the PAL Building in West Milford against the winner of Chester/Mendham vs. Newton/Andover.
