2006 Technology Challenge set for March 11 at Sussex Tech
Sparta - Technology Challenge 2006 will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, at Sussex County Technical School. Participating schools must submit a team of nine students, with each team member assigned to one challenge area. This year’s contest has expanded to nine challenge areas: web design, taxonomy, engineering, architectural construction, art history, computer aided drafting, graphic design, forensics and automotive technology. One student from each of the top five teams will represent their school in a game of “general knowledge” Jeopardy. The winning team will receive a prize for their school and individual prizes for themselves. Lunch will be provided. Entry packets inviting seventh and eighth graders to compete have been mailed to middle schools. Registrations must be received no later than Feb. 24.
