Stanhope-For one day each year for the past three years, the Stanhope House turns into an art gallery to host a charity event. The famed blues club joins hands with Stanhope dentist Dr. Donato Sorrano to deck the halls with art pieces and host a unique concert. The door receipts and the proceeds from the sale of Sorrano's paintings and photographs are later donated to charity. This year's event brought together some of Sorrano's artist friends who volunteered their time to perform at the club, including singers Phil Paolucci, Bill Waight, Jake Stigers, and the band The Other White Meat. The sale included photographs by Dennis Pallozzi and Don Miller and paintings by Gene Feller. The proceeds from this year's event will go to Diane Sidoli, the victim of a drunk driver. On Sept. 23, Sidoli was on her way to pick up her baby son when her car was hit head-on by another automobile driven by an alleged drunk driver. Sidoli suffered two broken arms, a broken pelvis and the amputation of both legs. She is expected to remain in the hospital for three months To add to the funds collected, which will be used to renovate Sidoli's home to accommodate her physical needs, friends have established a fund. Donations can be sent to Race for Renovations, c/o Ashley Lemongelli, 39 Vernon Avenue, Hamburg, NJ 07419. For more information visit www.race4diane@yahoo
