Amazing race

Lake Lackawanna hosted its first-ever Amazing Boat Race on Saturday, Aug. 12.  Contestants were given a half hour to decorate their non-power boats, and then race to Smokey’s Texas BBQ (formerly Falconers Inn).  Residents of all ages competed for the title of Best Decorated and Race Champion. First Place and Best Decorated was awarded to the Dempsey family for their pirate ship. Smokey Alexander judged the event, then treated the contestants to a surprise catered meal of his famous BBQ ribs.
