Andover Police

July 14 Andover Township Police Detective Gil Taglialatela, who was off duty was in Sonny's Pizza in Andover Borough around 9:30 p.m. observed a man, later identified as George Morehouse, enter the premises and attack another customer who was identified as Ronnie Gill with a metal flashlight. Detective Taglialatela immediately identified himself as a police officer and ordered Morehouse to cease. Detective Taglialatela was forced to draw his off duty service weapon in order to stop Morehouse from continuing the assault. Morehouse was taken into custody by the detective. Patrolman Dave Szatkiewicz and Patrolman Jason Mills responded from the Andover Township Police Department as did state troopers from the Sussex barracks. Morehouse was processed by the New Jersey State Police at Sussex.
