    May 26 Bradford A. Speer, 23 of Lafayette, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and speeding. Speer was observed operating a 1998 Honda Civic on Route 206 at 70 mph in a 50 mph zone. When he was stopped, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on Speer’s breath. He was given field sobriety tests, which he failed, and was taken into custody by Ptl Eric Danielson. Suspected marijuana was located alongside Speer’s seat in the vehicle. He was transported to the police station and processed. Speer was charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. Ptl Steve Murrell assisted with the arrest. Speer was released pending an appearance in Andover Municipal Court.
