    November 27 At 2:49 a.m., the Andover Township Police arrested Karen M. Kervin 47, of Sparta for driving while intoxicated, following a motor vehicle stop. Patrolamn Steve Murrell observed a vehicle crossing over the double yellow lines and driving into the left lane when turning right onto Lake Iliff Road. The vehicle was stopped and further investigation led to Kervin’s arrest. She was charged with D.W.I., failure to maintain her lane of travel, and not having a valid insurance card. She was released pending a December municipal court appearance. The vehicle was impounded for the mandatory 12 hours. Officer Scott Vertetis of the Newton Polide Department assisted. On Aug 25, the Andover Township Police Department received a complaint from a resident reporting that her cell phone had been stolen and after receiving her Verizon Wireless phone bill noticed a balance due in excess of $8,300. After a lengthy investigation to identify possible suspects and to verify numerous long distance phone charges, the department arrested Brade Cepeda, 43; Mariano Urena, 47; Wilfredo Jiminez and Victor Acevedo, 46, all of New York. The men were charged by Detective G Taglialatela with theft and theft of services. All four subjects were employed by an area landscaping company and had been working at the victim’s home at the time of the theft.
