Apples to Oregon program rescheduled

Stanhope - The children’s program, “Apples to Oregon,” originally scheduled for Oct. 25, will instead take place at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Louise Childs branch of the Sussex County Library, 21 Sparta Rd., Stanhope. Traveling west on the Oregon Trail was exciting, but making the trip with several hundred fruit trees in tow made it even more of an adventure! Based on the book, Apples to Oregon, by Deborah Hopkinson, a tall tale relating the story of how Oregon’s first apple orchard arrived by covered wagon, the program, for children in kindergarten and up, will include other apple-related activities and a craft.
