Askin promoted by Lakeland Bank

Sparta - Thomas W. Askin, a Sparta resident, has been promoted to the position of assistant treasurer of Lakeland Bank’s BSA/AML/compliance department. The announcement was made by Roger Bosma, president and CEO of Lakeland Bank, which has headquarters in Oak Ridge. A graduate of St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt., Askin joined the bank’s loan operations department last year. He was promoted to manager of BSA/AML in April 2006. Askin and his wife, Erin, recently celebrated the birth of their son, Liam.
