Bankruptcy seminar offered

    SUSSEX COUNTY-Project Self-Sufficiency will offer a legal seminar entitled, "Bankruptcy "Get a Fresh Start" from 7n9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, at the organization's Career Center at 61 Spring Street in Newton. The seminar is free and open to the public, but registration is required by calling 383-5129. Project Self-Sufficiency is a non-profit organization specializing in services for single parents, teen parents and displaced homemakers. The services include legal assistance, childcare, career guidance, computer training and life skills enhancement. The presenting attorney, Alan Strelzik, is a partner with the firm of Kaye, Strelzik & Vandenberg in Newton, which handles a wide variety of legal matters. A graduate of Rutgers University School of Law, Strelzik has been practicing law in New Jersey for 30 years, specializing in the areas of matrimonial, bankruptcy and Social Security disability law. The seminar will focus mainly on issues surrounding creditor harassment, lawsuits and garnishments. Ample time will be allowed for a question and answer session following the presentation.
