Burrell hosts annual thank-you picnic for county Democrats

Vernon - Last Saturday, Sussex Democratic Party Chairman and former freeholder Howard Burrell invited friends and supporters to his home in Glenwood for a “Thank You” picnic. Among those in attendance were Freeholders Joseph Maikisch and Dave Lipari, Congressional candidate Tom Wyka, and guest speaker Joseph Cryan, the N.J. State Democratic chairman and a state assemblyman.. “During the 19 months that I have served as Democratic Party Chairman, I have been very active in my efforts to enhance our organization’s profile and to gain support for our organization at the county, regional and state levels,” Burrell said. “The fact that the New Jersey State Democratic Party chairman has accepted my invitation to be our guest speaker at today’s picnic is further indication of the success of those efforts.”
