Busy week at Halsted

    Newton - Eighth graders at Halsted Street School are still taking their GEPA tests with “Book and Bagel” day, Thursday, March 15, in honor of the language arts section of the test. Friday, March 16, is a day they can recover, as the teachers have an in-service, but Saturday the theater students are back in business with a play rehearsal from 9 a.m. to noon. Further rehearsals are set for Friday, March 23, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Track physicals are due on Monday, March 19. It’s the sixth and seventh graders turn for standardized tests as they take the NJASK on Monday, March 19, through Wednesday, March 22. The babysitting class is set for after school on Monday, March 19, and Tuesday, March 20, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. GEPA makeups are Tuesday, March 20 through Friday, March 23, which is also the day of the REBEL trip.
