BYRAM-The fourth graders at Byram Lakes Elementary should feel proud. They helped to raise over $100 for The Seeing Eye in Morristown, an institute for training dogs as guides and instructing visually impaired individuals in their use. One of the fourth graders, Nicole Castelluccio, did a report on The Seeing Eye and was so amazed by the whole program that she asked if it would be all right for The Seeing Eye to come in and do a presentation at her school. A puppy raiser, named Audrey, accompanied by her puppy, Dutch, talked to the fourth graders about the importance of puppy raising and how these puppies eventually get trained to be guide dogs for the blind. In recognition of the effort and generosity of the fourth graders, The Seeing Eye is naming one of their puppies Byram. The children are waiting to see pictures of this new puppy.
