Byram, Lenape Valley sponsor summer teen trips
Byram - Byram Parks and Recreation and the Lenape Valley Municipal Alliance are offering four different trips this summer for teens ages 14 to 17. The trips will be to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, the Camelback Water Park in Tannersville, Pa., Funplex in Hanover, and Dorney Park, Pa. Teens ages 14-17 may travel on their own with a buddy and will have regular check-in times with chaperones during the day. Medical forms and permission slips must be filled out in advance. On Tuesday, July 11, teens will travel to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia to visit the Fels Planetarium, the IMAX theatre and interactive exhibits. Cost is $35, which includes bus transportation, admission and box lunch. The bus leaves the civic center parking lot at 9 a.m. and returns at 10 p.m. Camelback Water Park in Tannersville, Pa., will be the on the agenda for Monday, July 17 (rain date July 18). Cost is $25 for bus transportation and admission. (Refreshments not included.) The bus leaves from the civic center at 9 a.m. and returns at 7 p.m. Arcade games, go-karts, laser tag and bumper cars will be the attractions during the July 24 trip to Funplex in East Hanover. Cost is $25 and includes bus transportation, tokens, lunch and admission. The bus leaves the Civic Center at 9 a.m. and returns at 4 p.m. Dorney Park is the destination on July 31 (rain date August 1). Cost is $35, including bus transportation and admission to the park.
