BYRAM -- New Jersey State Police arrested a longtime Byram elementary school music teacher for allegedly engaging in lewd behavior near a rest stop off Route 80. Curtis L. Wilson, of Budd Lake, a music instructor at the Byram Lakes Elementary School for more than 15 years, was arrested around 4 p.m., Thursday, in a wooded area behind the Allamuchy State Park's Scenic Overlook off of Route 80. Schools superintendent Joseph Pezak said Wilson was not at school this week, and would not comment further. Byram Lakes Elementary School principal Thomas Podgurski did not return telephone messages left at the school. Wilson was arrested with Steven W. Trush, 41, of Stanhope, and Carlos E. Jesus, 40, of East Stroudsburg. All three were charged with various acts of lewd behavior and released. Undercover officers made the arrests while conducting routine quality-of-life details, police said.
