February 25 A Byram police patrol observed a vehicle being operated on Route 206 with an inoperable rear taillight. The vehicle was stopped and further investigation revealed the driver, Robyne Hopler, 45, of North Arlington, to be driving under the influence. Hopler was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where she was given breath tests. She was processed and charged with improper maintainance of lamps and DWI. Hopler was released to a friend pending a municipal court hearing.
