    February 27 A Byram police officer observed Jason Reitz, 23, of Byram, driving on Route 206 at a high rate of speed. The officer activated his radar and determined the vehicle was traveling at 87 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. After stopping the vehicle, a roadside investigation and several field sobriety tests Reitz was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Reitz was transported to police headquarters where he failed two breath tests. He was processed and released to the custody of a friend pending a Byram Township Municipal Court appearance. His vehicle was impounded for 12 hours as required by law. Reitz was issued summonses for speeding, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.
