    June 29 Edward Vandermark, 22, of Franklin, was charged with burglary for entering a residence in the Forest Lakes section of Byram Township and stealing multiple items from the residence. Vandermark was identified as the burglar through fingerprints left in the residence. Detective Duffy is continuing the investigation to attempt to recover the property that was stolen from the residence. Vandermark was lodged in the Sussex County Jail in default of bail. July 1 At 12:48 a.m. a Byram patrol observed Lena Kinney, 21, of Sussex, attempting to back out of a parking space in the parking lot of 76ers Waterloo Inn. Police were investigating a report of a vehicle in the back of the bar that had almost struck the caller's vehicle. After a brief roadside investigation and field sobriety tests, Kinney was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where she failed two breath tests. She was charged with careless driving and driving while intoxicated and released to a friend pending a Byram Township Municipal Court appearance. Her vehicle was impounded for 12 hours as required by State law.
