Byram Police
December 6 During a session of the Byram Township Municipal Court, a loud car radio was heard being played in the parking lot. When a Byram Township police officer went into the parking lot to ask that the music be turned, he observed the passenger side door open and several napkins thrown out onto the ground. The officer questioned the passenger about the incident. Initially, the passenger gave the officer a false name. Later it was established that the real name of the passenger was Christian A. Gonzalez, 26, of Wharton. A driver’s license check showed that Gonzalez had an outstanding warrant out of Montville. He was arrested and turned over to Montville Police. He was charged in Byram with littering and providing false information to a police officer. December 9 At 12 a.m., a Byram Township police officer observed a vehicle with tinted windows traveling on Lackawanna Drive. A motor vehicle stop was initiated and after a brief investigation, marijuana was found inside the vehicle. The driver, Ronald T. Paige, 22, of Long Pond, Penn., was arrested and transported to the police headquarters where he was charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana, having tinted windows and possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released pending a mandatory court date in Byram.
