    On Saturday, May 19 at 6:56 p.m.. Patrolman Marin responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the Byram Plaza. When he arrived, he discovered Gerald D. Porrino, 44, of Byram crashed his vehicle into two others and a light pole in the plaza. Marin administered several field sobriety tests to Porrino. Porrino failed them and was arrested. He was taken to township police headquarters for processing. Porrino was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to tale a breathilizer test and careless driving. Porrino’s vehicle was impounded for 12 hours. He was released to a family member, pending a mandatory court hearing. On Saturday, May 19 at 4:17 p.m. police received a call about a possibly intoxicated driver learning the parking lot of Smokey’s Bar-Be-Que restaurant on Lackawanna Drive, heading toward Route 206. Another call indicated the car had returned to the establishment. When Patrolman DeWald arrived, he noticed the driver, Susan Patricia McCabe, 51, of Meshoppen, Pa., appeared to be under the influence. DeWald administered several field sobriety tests, which she failed. McCabe was arrested for driving while intoxicated. While police were busy with Susan McCabe, Kathleen McCabe, 46, of East Stroudsburg, Pa., pushed one of the police officers on the scene. She was arrested for obstruction. The third person with the two women, John Godley, 45, of East Stroudsburg, who also appeared to be intoxicated, because disorderly and would not comply with the offficer’s commands. He was arrested for obstruction and resisting arrest. All three were taken to Byram police headquarters for processing. Susan McCabe refused to take a breath test. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, refusing a breath test, possessing open alcoholic beverage containers in a motor vehicle and careless driving. She was turned over to the Hopatcong Borough Police Department on outstanding warrants. Kathleen McCabe was charged with obstruction and released pending a mandatory municipal court date. John Godley was charged with obstruction and resisting arrest and was released pending a mandatory municipal court date. Susan McCabe’s vehicle was impounded for 12 hours as is required by state law.
