March 11 At 6:18 p.m. a Byram Township police officer responded to a call of a vehicle blocking Route 206. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the driver, Vikash K. Patel, 19, of Randolph, and determined that Patel was under the influence of alcohol. Patel was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to the police station where he failed two additional breath tests. He was charged with underage D.W.I. and obstructing the passage of vehicles. Patel’s vehicle was impounded for 12 hours as required by state law. He was released pending a court appearance.
