February 10 At 11:45 p.m., a Byram police officer observed a 2002 Dodge pick-up truck traveling on Route 206 North that was tailgating the vehicle in front of it and crossed the center line several times. A motor vehicle stop was initiated and the driver, Kenneth M. Teut, 23, of Branchville, failed several field sobriety tests. Teut was arrested for driving while intoxicated and transported to police headquarters for processing. At headquarters, he failed two breath tests. He was charged with tailgating, failure to keep right and DWI. Teut was released to a friend pending a Byram Municipal Court date. His vehicle was impounded for 12 hours as required by state law.
