On Thursday, May 24, at 2:45 p.m., Patrolman DeWald noticed a 1989 red Buick leave the parking lot of CVS drugs and travel north on Route 206. DeWald could see the passenger was not wearing a seat belt. DeWald pursued and stopped the car. He asked the driver for her drivers’ license. The driver, Aminah Farah Crowder, 28, of Lewisburg, Pa., said she didn’t have it with her and provided the officer with a name and date of birth. DeWald checked the name and found it was an alias listed on an outstanding warrant out of Essex County. At first, Crowder said the warrant was not for her, then she admitted it was. She was arrested and charged with providing false information to law enforcement and driving with a suspended license. She was lodged in the Sussex County Jail on the no-bail warrant. The passenger of the vehicle was given a summons for not wearing her seatbelt and was released.
