Byram Youth Council announces dance schedule

    BYRAM - Byram Township is offering dances open to all Byram residents in sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. They will be held the third Friday of every month, excluding December. Dates are as follows: 10/21, 11/18, 1/20, 2/17, 3/17, 4/21, and 5/19. Dances will start at 7 p.m. and end promptly 9:30 p.m. in the All Purpose Room of Byram Intermediate School. Parents must pick up their children on time. There is a $2 admission fee. Snacks and drinks will be available at a minimum cost. Permission slips are distributed at the Byram Intermediate School and will also be available at the door on the night of each dance. The rules are as follows: No fighting, hitting, punching, pushing, or tripping No inappropriate touching (i.e. bumping, grinding) No running or standing on benches or on stage No spilling of water or other drinks No abusive language or put-downs No strapless shirts Also, electronic devices (cell phones, i-pods, etc.) are not permitted at the dances.  Purses and oversized sweatshirts will not be allowed inside so attendees should accordingly. These dances are sponsored by the Byram Township Youth Council and not the Byram Township School District. The Byram Youth Council meets at 7 p.m. the third Thursday of every at the Byram Civic Center.  These meetings are open to the public.
