Chamber issues last call for Newton Day

    NEWTON - The Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce and the Newton Recreation Committee is offering a "last call" for anyone wishing to participate in the Newton Day Festival on June 12. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spring Street will be closed from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. for all participating. The day will start off with a movie matinee with the mayor of Newton and the Town Council, followed by live music by Unsung Heroes, with special guests Denny Tilton & Suzanne Carrington. A children's inflatable bouncer, Claudia Cardinal from the New Jersey Cardinals, Funny Farm Follies petting zoo and pony rides, and the Punch & Jellybean clown act are among the activities planned.
