Chamber of Commerce to award scholarships

Newton - The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce has announced the availability of eight scholarships for the 2006-2007 school year. The scholarships will include the top award of $3,000, as well as one $1,500 award, one $1,000 award, and five $500 awards. The awards will be used to further each recipient’s education at a college, professional, technical, vocational or business school that will result in enhancing the recipient’s marketability in the business community. Applications have been mailed to area schools with criteria specifications to be passed along to interested students. Applicants must follow the application instructions specifically and return to the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce office no later than the close of business on April 3.
