County chamber announces availability of scholarships

Newton — The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce is offering four scholarships to area students for the 2011-12 school year. The scholarships will include a top award of $2,000, a $1,000 award and two $500 awards. These scholarships will be used to further each recipient's education at a college, professional, technical, vocational or business school. The chamber is also providing two $500 awards to the Sussex County Community College Foundation for scholarships in the spring and fall semesters and three $1,000 scholarships to Dover Business College in Dover, NJ. Applications have been mailed to the guidance departments of all public and private Sussex County high schools, along with criteria specifications. Applicants must return the applications to the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce office by 4 p.m. on April 13.
