April 21 Brian Lawlor, 24, of Wantage, was sentenced to three years probation, 180 days county jail, 100 hours community service, $4,583 in fines and a one-year loss of driver’s license. Lawlor pleaded guilty on Feb. 6 to two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance, fourth-degree possession of a stolen credit card, fourth-degree joy riding, third-degree unlawful use of a credit card and two motor vehicle summonses for driving while suspended. He admitted that on Nov. 11, 2005, be was in possession of two bags of heroin and a credit card that did not belong to him, following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer John Lamon. He also admitted to being in possession of a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission, using a credit card without the owner’s permission and possession of four bags of heroin that were discovered during a motor vehicle stop by Troopers J. Byra and S. Diehl in Wantage on Dec. 29,2005. Randall Buscko, 20, of Vernon, was sentenced to 10 years in state prison with 30 months of parole ineligibility, six-month loss of driver’s license and $3,205 in fines. Buscko pleaded guilty on Feb. 27 to the first-degree crime of the distribution of more than 100 mg. of LSD. He admitted that on Aug. 5, Sept. 6, and Oct. 11, 2005, he distributed a total of 112 doses of LSD-impregnated blotter paper to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Steven Savare, 32, of Stillwater, was sentenced to three years probation, 14 days credit for time served in county jail, six-month loss of driver’s license, 200 hours of community service, $1,205 in fines and $1,105.33 in restitution. Savare pleaded guilty on March 6 to third-degree distribution of MDMA (Ecstasy). He sold eight Ecstasy pills on Aug. 5, 2005, at Ray’s Inn in Andover to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. David Hoek, 26, of Lafayette, was sentenced to five years state prison, $5,555 in fines and a six-month loss of driver’s license. He pleaded guilty on March 6 to two counts of distribution of heroin within 500 feet of a park, a second-degree crime, and to third-degree possession of heroin. He admitted that on June 8, 2005, he distributed four bags of heroin and on June 10 he distributed 22 bags of heroin to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. The distributions occurred in his apartment, located within 500 feet of the Lafayette Municipal Park. He also admitted to possessing heroin on June 28, 2005, when a search warrant was executed at his residence by members of the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force and the N.J. State Police. May 1 Jami S. Marino, 28, of Clifton, pleaded guilty to third-degree theft. She admitted to stealing jewelry from a residence on March 24, 2005, in Franklin, and then taking it to a pawnshop to sell. Sentencing is anticipated for June 9. David Rivera, 40, of Newton, pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of cocaine. He admitted being in constructive possession of several vials of crack cocaine following a motor vehicle stop on March 11 by Sparta Police Officer Scott Ellig. Rivera is scheduled for sentencing on July 7,2006. Tara Temby, 31, of Sussex, pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of heroin. She admitted to possessing 16 bags of heroin on March 11, following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer Scott Ellig. Temby is scheduled for sentencing on June 16. Timothy J. Maher, 45, of Sparta, pleaded guilty to invasion of privacy. Maher was initially charged with one count of fourth-degree trespass after a neighbor called the police regarding a suspicious person in the neighborhood. The police found the defendant walking the street with a video recorder. Further investigation revealed that Maher had been videotaping young women inside their homes in various states of undress. The prosecutor’s office subsequently upgraded the charge to the third-degree crime of invasion of privacy. Sentencing is anticipated for Aug. 29. May 2 Damien Kerrison, 48, of Franklin was indicted by the Sussex County Grand Jury and charged with third-degree and fourth-degree assault by auto. The case was investigated by Ptl. Robert Ziccarelli of Hardyston Police Dept. and the Sussex County C.A.R. team. Kerrison will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next six weeks. May 3 Jack W. Asencio, 25, of Sussex was indicted on May 2 and charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft, third-degree theft, second-degree possession of a weapon, third-degree possession of a weapon and third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The case was investigated by Det. McCurry of the N.J. State Police and Det. Kulsar of the Franklin Police Dept. Asencio will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks. Miguel A. Matos, 21, of Sussex was indicted and charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft, two counts of third-degree theft, second-degree possession of a weapon and third-degree possession of a weapon. The case was investigated by Det. McCurry of the N.J. State Police and Det. Kulsar of the Franklin Police Dept. Matos will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks. Charles O’Keefe, 33, of Newton was indicted and charged with second-degree aggravated arson, second-degree burglary and second-degree aggravated assault The case was investigated by Det. Thomas Leahy of the N.J. State Police. O’Keefe will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks. May 4 Dwayne Phillips, 29 of Highland Lakes, was sentenced to five years N.J. State Prison. Phillips pleaded guilty on Feb. 15 to six counts of third-degree burglary, one count of tampering with evidence, a fourth-degree crime, and possession of CDS, a third-degree crime. Phillips burglarized six homes in Vernon between Nov. 18 and Dec. 6, 2005. At the time of his arrest Phillips was in possession of heroin. As part of his sentence, Phillips is required to pay $15,880 in restitution. Ryan Phillips, 26 of Highland Lakes, was sentenced to four years N.J. State Prison. He pleaded guilty on Feb.15, to four counts of third-degree burglary. Phillips burglarized four homes in Vernon between Nov. 18 and Dec. 6, 2005. As part of his sentence, Phillips was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $14,680.
