    July 14 Gregory Whritenour, age 48, of Branchville, was sentenced to probation for a period of 18 months. As a condition of his probation, he was ordered to serve 58 days in jail, to perform 100 hours of community service, to follow the recommendations of the substance abuse and domestic violence evaluations and to pay $155 in monetary penalties. He pled guilty on May 30 when he admitted to the court that on or about April 10 he had violated the terms of a temporary restraining order issued pursuant to the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act by contacting the victim at her place of employment and had been leaving numerous threatening messages on her voice mail. July 17 Samuel Richmond, age 60, of Newton, pled guilty to second-degree possession with the intent to distribute more than one half ounce of cocaine. He is scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 15. He admitted to possessing almost three ounces of cocaine with the intent 10 distribute it following a motor vehicle stop on May 3 in Newton by members of the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force and the Newton Police Department.
