June 12 Thomas E. Clark, 39, of Newton, pleaded guilty to third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. On May 1, 2005, at a restaurant/bar in Newton, he deliberately struck another patron in the head with a glass, causing significant bodily injury to the victim. Sentencing is anticipated for July 21. Mario Carbone, 45, of Clifton, pleaded guilty to issuing a bad check, a third-degree crime. On Feb. 4, 2005, he issued a check in the amount of $7,600.50 to Fairclough Gas Corporation for the purchase of fuel, knowing that the check would not be honored by the bank and the account it was drawn on. Sentencing is anticipated for Aug. 4. Frank D. Orlando, 28, of Hamburg, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree aggravated assault on a police officer. On Jan. 21, in Vernon, police officers attempted to get the defendant, who was intoxicated, to leave an establishment and he pushed one of the officers and then punched him in the face. Sentencing is anticipated for July 21. Henry R. Fedder, 20, of Branchville, pleaded guilty to burglary and theft, both third-degree crimes. He admitted to entering his mother’s home in Franklin on June 16, 2005, without her consent or knowledge, and taking a safe from the home, and taking the money stored in the safe and spending it on marijuana, cigarettes and miscellaneous food items. Sentencing is anticipated for July 21. Tracy Happe, 32, of Hamburg, was sentenced to two years probation and 60 days in the Sussex County Jail. Happe pleaded guilty on April 3 to third-degree possession of heroin. Happe was found to be in possession of 12 bags of heroin on January 17 in Sparta, following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer Robert Fraser. Billie Webb, 25, of Montague, was sentenced to two years probation and 60 days in Sussex County Jail with credit for time served. Webb pleaded guilty on May 1 to possession of heroin and/or cocaine, a third-degree crime. She admitted that she constructively possessed 32 vials of cocaine and four bags of heroin following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer John Lamon on July 27, 2005. Joseph Sampogna, 50, of Highland Lakes, pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of phencyclidine, driving while intoxicated and failure to display a license plate. He was found to be in possession of marijuana laced with phencyclidine following a motor vehicle stop by Vernon Police Officer Kenneth Kuzicki on Dec. 1, 2005. The defendant admitted to consuming the drug before operating the vehicle and that it impaired his ability to safely drive. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 4. Paul Spadola, 50, of Bushkill, Pa., pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of cocaine. He admitted to possessing a small bag of cocaine on June 30, 2005, following a motor vehicle stop by Byram Police Officer Daniel DeWald. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 4. Jarard Lee, 30, of Pocono Mountain, Pa., pleaded guilty to third-degree possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. He admitted to possessing 10-12 half-gram bags of cocaine, with the intent to sell them. He was arrested on Oct. 20, 2005, at the Sussex Motel in Wantage by members of the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force and N.J. State Police. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 21. June 13 Sean Schinzel, 30, of Hopatcong, pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of Xanax and the disorderly persons offense of criminal mischief. He was found to be in possession of a Xanax tablet after being arrested for damaging a mail box belonging to his ex-girlfriend. Schinzel is scheduled to be sentenced on July 21. Frank L. Aigotti, 25, of Sussex, pleaded guilty to witness tampering, a third-degree crime. On March 14, 2005, in Sussex, he attempted to induce a victim in an assault case to withhold testimony and information regarding the case. Sentencing is anticipated for June 28. June 14 Michelle E. Kitchen, 28, of Franklin, was sentenced to three years probation and 57 days in jail with time served. Defendant must attend a long-term inpatient drug program and follow all recommendations. She was also sentenced to six months loss of drivers license and must pay fines and costs in the amount of $1,205. She pleaded guilty on May 30 to forging a prescription for Xanax on prescription forms that she had stolen from a nurse practitioner.
