October 10 Paul Drake, age 19, of Highland Lakes, pled guilty to possession of heroin (two counts) and eluding, all third degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 1. In October, 2005, in the Borough of Franklin, Drake fled from police in his car after being instructed by police to stop. In November of 2005, in Sparta Township, as a result of a motor vehicle stop, Drake was found to be in possession of heroin. In July, 2006, police respond to a report of an overdose. Police determined Drake was unconscious but he had a pulse and was breathing. After five minutes, Drake regained consciousness and told police he did a “speed ball and smoked crack”.
