November 15 Justin C. Pease, 23, of Stanhope, pleaded guilty to eluding, and to motor vehicle violations for speeding, driving while suspended, no insurance and failure to maintain lane of travel. Sentencing is anticipated for Jan. 6. On Oct. 5 in Byram, a Byram police officer attempted to stop his motorcycle for speeding but instead of pulling over, Pease increased his speed, finally stopping after approximately a five-mile chase by both Byram and Stanhope police officers. Susan Antcliff. 27, of Wantage, pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and to various violation of probation charges. Sentencing is anticipated for Jan. 6. On July 11 in Wantage, Antcliff admitted to police that she had entered the home where her children had been placed by the state, claiming she wanted to see them. The violation of probation charges occurred between June 17, 2001, and July 9, 2001, in Wantage Twp., and involved charges of burglary and theft by unlawful taking, fraudulent use of a credit card and use of a stolen credit card, and one charge of disorderly persons theft. She was sentenced on those charges to four years’ probation on Feb. 7, 2002. Justin Hauser, 19, of Cuddebackville, N.Y., pleaded guilty to burglary. On April 18 in Hampton, he entered a car in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart and stole various items from the vehicle. Sentencing is anticipated for Dec. 16. Jason Hackett, 23, of Andover, pleaded guilty to burglary and to a violation of probation charge for theft of a motor vehicle. On July 4 in Montage, he entered the victim’s garage and attempted to remove a scooter, telling police that he had been drinking, his friends had left him and that he went into the garage to see if he could find some transportation. The violation of probation charge occurred on Nov. 2, 2004, in Andover Twp., where he admitted to police that he had been drinking at the Lenape Lodge, left the bar and found a 1993 minivan with the keys in it, drove the van down Limecrest Rd., failed to negotiate a curve, and went off the road into a tree. He was sentenced on that charge to three years’ probation on Feb. 25. Sentencing is anticipated for Jan. 6. November 17 Paul A. Foglia, 45, of Wayne, was indicted and charged with murder, burglary, felony murder, and unlawful possession of a weapon. The case was investigated by troopers and detectives from the N.J. State Police and several detectives from the Sussex County prosecutor’s office. Foglia will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within six weeks. Ryan M. Manca, 23, of Franklin, was indicted for eluding and aggravated assault, and possession of cocaine. The case was investigated by Sgt. John-Paul Beebe of the Sparta Township Police Department. The Grand Jury alleges that on June 22, the defendant, during a motor vehicle stop for speeding, struck Sgt. Beebe with his vehicle and then led Sparta police officers on a high-speed chase for approximately 3.5 miles before being arrested. A glass smoking stem with truce amounts of cocaine inside was found in the patrol car the defendant had been placed in after being arrested. Manca will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks, Kevin M. LaFlamme, 25, of Newton, was charged with aggravated assault. The case was investigated by Trooper N. Patel of the N.J. State Police. The Grand Jury alleges that on Dec. 25, 2004, the defendant was involved in a physical altercation with another male, striking him in the head several times with a closed fiat and rendering the victim unconscious due to blunt force trauma to the head. LaFlamme will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks. David E, Herman, III, 31, of Sussex, was charged with eluding. The case was investigated by Ptl. Scott Carrell of the Vernon Twp. Police Department. The Grand Jury alleged that on March 19 the defendant failed to bring his vehicle to a complete slop after being signaled to do so by Officer Carrel, who observed him driving 80 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone. Herman will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks. Dawn Guillermain, 39, of Oak Ridge, was indicted for issuing a had check. The Grand Jury alleges that on Feb. 5 Guillermain issued a check in the amount of $2,600 to Franklin Sussex Auto Mall knowing that the bank the check was Issued from would not honor it. She will be arraigned before the Superior Court in Newton within the next six weeks. A Grand Jury Indictment is a charge only. The defendant Is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial.
