February 27 Christopher Suzel, 29, of Highland Lakes was sentenced to two years probation, was ordered to serve 158 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was given credit for 158 days served. He must submit to a TASC evaluation and a mental health evaluation and follow all recommendations made, and perform 50 hours of community service. He must pay total fines and penalties of $694 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on Jan. 24 to eluding, a third degree crime, and motor vehicle violations of driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended. On Sept. 22 in Vernon, during a motor vehicle stop, he attempted to drive away from a Vernon police officer while the officer’s body was half in the vehicle, causing injury to the officer. Patrick Williams, 46, of Newton pled guilty to Criminal Trespass, a 4th degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for April 7. Williams entered an unoccupied apartment in Newton with a friend, without the permission of the apartment’s owner. John Brown, 46, of Newton pled guilty to two counts of distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of a school, third degree crimes. He is scheduled for sentencing on April 7. He admitted that on Feb. 15 and 18, he sold crack cocaine to an individual cooperating with the Sussex Co. Narcotics Task Force. The sales took place in his apartment on Spring Street, which is located within 1,000 feet of St. Joseph’s Elementary School. Matthew Bouma, 23, of Montague pled guilty to defrauding the administration of a drug test, a crime of the third degree. Sentencing is scheduled for April 7. He admitted to submitting a fake sample of urine for a drug test that was administered to him while he was on probation. The matter was investigated by the Sussex County Probation Department and Sussex County Sheriffs Officer Kieran McMorrow. Robert Ackerley, 26, of Matamoras, Pa., pled guilty to possession of heroin, a crime of the third degree. He is scheduled for sentencing on April 7. He admitted to constructively possessing 48 bags of heroin following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer Marc Rubino. Tracy Branch, 26, of Newton pled guilty to the third degree crime prescription fraud. She is scheduled for sentencing on April 7. She admitted altering a prescription to reflect that it was permitted to be refilled. She presented the altered prescription to a pharmacy in Hampton Township. The matter was investigated by New Jersey State Trooper D. Grayson. Aida Matta, 31, of Hamburg pled guilty to the third degree crimes of distribution of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and the second degree crime of endangering the welfare of a child. She is scheduled for sentencing on April 21. She admitted that she sold heroin to an undercover detective assigned to the Sussex Co. Narcotics Task Force on Nov. 30 in Wantage, and that on Dec. 22, 2003, she sold heroin to an individual while in the presence of two children. Rosean Boyd, 32, of Hamburg pled guilty to the third degree crimes of distribution of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and the second degree crime of endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled for sentencing on April 7. He admitted that on Dec. 6, he sold heroin to an undercover detective assigned to the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force and that on Dec. 22 in Hamburg, he possessed 49 bags of heroin with the intent to distribute them. He did so in the presence of four children who were present with him in the motor vehicle that he was occupying in which he had secreted the heroin. Randall Bucsko, 20, of Vernon pled guilty to distribution of more than 100 milligrams of LSD, a crime of the first degree, He is scheduled for sentencing on April 21. He admitted that on Aug. 5, Sept. 6 and Oct. 11, he distributed a total of 112 doses of-impregnated blotter paper to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force.
