    November 2 Roger E. Johnson, age 31, of Wantage, was sentenced to two years probation and must serve 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility. He must pay total fines and penalties of $I55 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on Aug. 28 to eluding, a 3rd degree crime. On April 29, after being observed by a Sheriffs Officer apparently sleeping in a parked vehicle with the engine running, the defendant attempted to elude the officer and was chased by officers from the Sussex County Sheriffs Office from Sussex Borough into New York State. New York State Police got the defendant to stop when they ran into his vehicle. David Haumacher, age 36 of Andover, was sentenced to 20 days in the Sussex County Jail and 40 days SLAP. He pled guilty on Aug.28 to third degree eluding, fourth degree theft of services, reckless driving, unregistered vehicle and driving while suspended. Franklin Borough Police observed Haumacher driving his truck on Main Street. Police knew his driver’s license was suspended and attempted to stop the truck. Haumacher refused to stop. Police stopped the care after pursuit and later charged Haumacher with eluding and theft of services when it was learned he took his truck from Bear and Body without paying storage fees of $333.61. November 3 Stephan Shepard, age 21, of Newton, was sentenced to six years in state prison, $4,555 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on Sept. 11 to one count of second degree distribution of LSD and two counts of third degree distribution of cocaine. He admitted to selling LSD and crack cocaine to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force in August and October of 2005. Ernest Florio, age 59, of Branchville, was sentenced to two years probation, 52 days jail credit for time served, $855 in fines and a one year loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on Sept. 5 to the third degree crime of forgery, driving while suspended and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. He admitted operating a motor vehicle in Sparta on Oct. 29, 2005 that bore a fake inspection sticker that he had purchased and placed on the window in order to deceive police into thinking the vehicle had, in fact, been inspected. The vehicle which he was driving, which was stopped by Sparta Police Officer William Moyle, was also uninsured and the defendant’s driver’s license had been suspended. Janusz Zabilski, age 39 of Sparta, was sentenced to two years probation with credit for 39 days in jail served, must complete Newton Mental Health counseling, maintain medications and submit DNA sample. Fines and costs are in the amount of $155. He pled guilty on Sept. 5 to Terroristic Threats. Jason Dockray, age 27, of Vernon, was sentenced to two years probation and must serve 60 days in the Sheriffs Labor Assistance Program. He must pay total fines and penalties of $405 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on June 23 to theft, a 3rd degree crime, and a disorderly persons charge of hindering apprehension. He pled guilty on Oct. 23 to unlawful possession of a weapon, a 3rd degree crime. He and four co-defendants took merchandise and cash from a residence in Wantage in May 2004. While being interviewed regarding this incident, he gave false information to the New Jersey State Police by making a statement incriminating and using the identify of another person. On June 30 in Wantage, he admitted to police that he discharged two rounds from a 12-gauge firearm into the ground while at a residence Vera Ferrara, age 51 of Allentown, Pa., was sentenced to 94 days Sussex County Jail, one year probation, mandatory fines and penalties. She pled guilty on Oct. 16 to Identity Theft, a fourth degree crime. She admitted to using her sister’s ID to obtain a driver’s license, open a bank account and file tax returns. Robert Verwers, age 36, of Forked River, was sentenced to two years probation, which will be transferred to Ocean County. He must perform 100 hours of community service. He must pay restitution in the amount of $1,065.67. He must pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on Sept. 7 to shoplifting, a 4th degree crime. On Nov. 30, 2004 and Dec. 4, 2004, he shoplifted over $1,000 worth of items from the A & P in Wantage. Both instances were captured on the store’s video camera. David Corcoran, age 24, of Hamburg, was sentenced to three years New Jersey State Prison. He pled guilty on Sept. 11 to burglary a third degree offense and theft, a disorderly persons offense. He admitted to breaking into his mother’s house and stealing money and personal items worth $170. November 6 Thomas Williamson, age 38, of Jersey City, pled guilty to the third degree crime of possession of cocaine. He is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 12. He admitted to possessing a small amount of cocaine following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer Richard Smith on July 30. November 8 Kevin W. Puza, age 19, of Hamburg, pled guilty to burglary, a 3rd degree crime. Sentencing is scheduled for January. He admitted his part in a crime spree involving burglaries of vehicles and one home in Hamburg between March 1 and March 31, 2005. Peter M. Baglio, III, age 32, of Hackettstown, pled guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit theft and two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, all 3rd degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5. On March 8, 2004 and March 9, 2004, Baglio and a co-defendant acted as lookout while another person committed acts of burglary and theft on two residences in Green Township.
