January 29 A juvenile, who pled guilty on Jan. 25 to third degree burglary was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court and sentenced. The juvenile, age 17 at time of crime, of Andover, was sentenced to two years probation on condition that he/she serve 30 days in the Juvenile Detention Center, pay restitution to the victim of $2,500, testify truthfully against co-defendants, submit a DNA sample, maintain part-time employment, complete 60 hours of community service, undergo random drug testing and pay court fines. The juvenile, along with two co-defendants, broke into the Bear Brook Golf Club and took over $9,000 in cash and golf clubs. February 1 A juvenile, age 17 at the time of the crime, of Newton, was sentenced to 2 years probation on condition that he/she serve 45 days in the Sussex County Juvenile Detention Center, complete 50 hours of community service, pay restitution of $2500 to the victim, 6 month loss of driver’s license to begin upon release from detention, testify truthfully against co-defendants, undergo random drug testing, submit DNA sample and pay $45 in court fines. The juvenile, along with two co-defendants, broke into the Bear Brook Golf Club and took over $7,500 in cash and golf clubs. February 2 Diana Hayducka, age 39, of Fredon, was sentenced to 2 years probation. She pled guilty on Dec. 4, 2006, to Theft, a third degree crime. Hayducka took prescription drugs from the purse of the victim. Helen Muraviov, age 53, of Franklin, was sentenced to 2 years probation, 25 days community service, restitution of $909.26 and mandatory fines and penalties. She pled guilty on Dec. 4, 2006, to 2 counts of shoplifting, both third degree crimes. She admitted shoplifting items from Franklin Wal-Mart and Hampton Wal-Mart during October 2006. All items were recovered, including a 32” LCD TV. However, the TV was not re-sellable. Vincent R. Speziale, age 49, of Sussex, was sentenced to 18 months probation, must continue counseling and must serve five days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility. He must pay total fines and penalties of $155 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pled guilty on Dec. 4, 2006 to aggravated assault, a 4th degree crime. On Sept. 2, 2006 in Frankford Township, a verbal argument took place between two baseball team members and escalated to the defendant striking the other player in the arm with a baseball bat. Felix Rodriguez, age 20, of Newton, was sentenced to probation for a period of 18 months. As a condition of Rodriguez probation he is to serve 85 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility. Rodriguez was also ordered to undergo a Domestic Violence Assessment Center evaluation and a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommendations of both evaluations. He was also ordered to pay $155 in monetary penalties. He pled guilty on Dec. 6, 2006, to aggravated assault, a third degree crime. Rodriguez admitted to the court that on or about Sept. 13, 2006, he had assaulted an adult female during a domestic dispute causing significant bodily injury. Aniceto A. Rueda, age 24 of Newton, was sentenced to 345 days in County Jail time served. Fines and costs are in the amount of $1,505. Defendant in and between January and February 2006 had sexual contact with a female minor’s intimate parts on multiple occasions. Ranea G. DiBenedetto, age 31, of Franklin, was sentenced to three years probation, 35 days in the Sussex County Jail and various fines and penalties totaling $1,205. Her driver’s license was also suspended for six months. She pled guilty on Dec. 4 to the third degree crime of Possession of Cocaine. She admitted to possessing a small amount of cocaine in Franklin on May 12, 2006. February 5 Grzegorz Maczka, age 20, of Garfield, pled guilty to 2 counts of Burglary and 2 counts of Theft, all third degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for March 30. He admitted to breaking into several cars at Sussex Honda and Bell BMW in August 2004. Maczka admitted that he and three others stole parts and damaged cars totaling $26,000. An indictment charges Santiago Martinez Marzilino, age 23, of Newton, with Unlawful Possession of a weapon, a fourth degree crime. The case was Investigated by Ptl. D’Annibale of the Newton Police Department. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial. An indictment charges Lucas T. Faulkner, age 26, of Hopatcong, with three counts of Resisting Arrest, all fourth degree crimes, and one count of Resisting Arrest, a third degree crime. The case was investigated by Ptl. Tracey of the Hopatcong Police Department. The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Robert Klingenburg. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial.
