November 7 Alejandra Burguez, 25, of Farmingville, NY, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine and heroin, and to three counts of distribution of a controlled and dangerous substance within 500 feet of a park. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 16. Burguez admitted to possessing seven bags of heroin and four vials of cocaine in Sparta on March 2, following a motor vehicle stop by Sparta Police Officer Robert Fraser. She also admitted to distributing heroin and/or cocaine within 500 feet of Memory Park on Aug. 5, Aug. 8, and Sept. 1. That matter was investigated by the Sussex County Narcotics Taskforce. November 10 Steven Wade, 52, of Hardyston, was sentenced to ten years in state prison with 25 months of parole ineligibility, six month loss of driver’s license and $3,205 in fines. Wade pleaded guilty on Oct. 3, 2005 to operating a controlled dangerous substance production facility. He admitted maintaining the equipment necessary for the production of methamphetamine which he did on numerous occasions at his apartment in Hardyston Township. Robert Monahan, 45, of Greentown, Penn., was sentenced to three years probation, submit to substance abuse evaluation and treatment, loss of his driver’s license for six months and $1,455 in fines. Monahan pleaded guilty on Oct. 3, to possession of heroin and motor vehicle tickets for an inoperable license plate and being an unlicensed driver. The car Monahan was operating was pulled over on Oct. 29, 2004 by Sparta Police Officer Robert Fraser, and a search of it resulted in the seizure of 11 bags of heroin. Kathy Jo Hudgins, 25, of Unionville, NY was sentenced to two years probation, a six month loss of her driver’s license and $1,405 in fines. She pleaded guilty on Sept. 26, to possession of heroin and to a motor vehicle ticket for driving while suspended. Hudgins was stopped by Sparta Police Officer Marc Rubino on Aug. 2, for driving a vehicle that had New York plates but a New Jersey inspection sticker. At the time of the traffic stop, Hudgins’ New York driving privileges were suspended, and she was found to be in possession of five bags of heroin. Roy Aull, Jr., 23, of Rockaway, was sentenced to five years state prison with 15 months of parole ineligibility, a six months loss of his driver’s license and $2.380 in fines. Aull pleaded guilty on Oct. 3, to two counts of distribution of more than one ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school. Aull admitted that on Sept. 26, 2001, he distributed slightly more than one ounce of marijuana and on Oct. 17, 2001, he distributed a quarter pound of marijuana to an undercover detective assigned to the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force, and that on each occasion it occurred within 1,000 feet of the Halsted Street School. Zachery Green, 21, of New York City, was sentenced to five years in state prison, $3,380 in fines and a six month loss of his driver’s license. Green pleaded guilty on Oct. 3, to being an accomplice to distributing cocaine within 500 feet of a public building. He admitted to assisting a juvenile in the distribution of cocaine from an apartment on Spring Street in Newton that was within 1,000 feet of St. Joseph’s School and within 500 feet of the Newton Fire Museum. The crimes took place Dec. 30, 2004. Diane Marchese, 24, of Newton, was sentenced to one year probation, 75 hours of community service and $155 in fines. Marchese pleaded guilty on Oct. 3, to obstruction of justice. She admitted that on May 10, 2004, she provided law enforcement officers with false information regarding a criminal investigation. Justo Dilone, 40, of Union City, was sentenced to two years probation and $155 in fines. He pleaded guilty on July 21, to being an accomplice in the commission of a burglary. On Nov. 1, 2004, Dilone was found to be in possession of a variety of burglary tools by Byram Township Police Officer Daniel DeWald. November 14 Anthony Waldron, 32, of Newton, entered a guilty plea to a Megan’s Law violation for failure to notify and re-register with law enforcement that he had moved to a new address. Under the provisions of Megan’s Law, Waldron was required to notify the local police that he was moving to a new address ten days prior to the actual move. Waldron admitted to the court that on July 20, he had been dividing his time between two residences in Sussex County. One residence was located in the Town of Newton and the second was located in Franklin Borough. The case was investigated by the Newton Police Department, Department of Corrections-Parole Division and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office. Waldron is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 16. Charles M. Whitlach, 43, of Vernon, entered a guilty plea to aggravated assault. Whitlach admitted to the court that on Sept. 15, he had been involved in a physical altercation with an adult female. Whitlach also admitted that during that altercation he had struck the victim in the face causing significant bodily injury to the victim. The case was investigated by Vernon Township Police Department. Whitlach is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 6, 2006. James C. Singer, age 22, of Honesdale, Penn., entered a guilty plea to two accusations of possession of heroin and possession of a hypodermic needle. Singer admitted to the court that on May 15, and again on Oct. 1, he had been in possession of heroin and that on both occasions he had been in a motor vehicle which had been lawfully stopped by officers from the Sparta Township Police Department. Singer is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 6. Lucas A. Young, 20, of Port Jervis, NY, pleaded guilty ten charges of possession with the intent to distribute less than one ounce of marijuana, and to resisting arrest. He is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 6. Young admitted to possessing just less than one ounce of marijuana, which he intended for both personal use and to sell to others. He resisted the attempts of New Jersey State Police Trooper McNeel to arrest him during the course of the investigation. Korey J. Ball, 20, of Flanders, pleaded guilty to burglary, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and theft. He is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 6. Ball admitted that on July 12, in Hopatcong, he entered a home with the purpose to steal objects in order to sell them to obtain money for drugs. He admitted that on July 14, in Byram, he entered a home with the purpose to steal acetaminophen with codeine pills. He also admitted that on July 24, in Hamburg, he was in the possession of Xanax without a prescription Kevin Hendley, 48, of Newton, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. He is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 6. Hendley admitted to possessing two one gram bags of cocaine when he was slopped for a motor vehicle violation in Sparta by police officer Kurt Morris. Robert Galione, 45, of Sussex, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. He is scheduled for sentencing on Jan. 13. Galione admitted to throwing bodily fluids at a corrections officer while Galione was incarcerated at the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility on April 22, 2004.
