    September 8 Sussex County Prosecutor David J. Weaver announced the sentencing of Heather Tuscany-Silva by the Honorable Thomas I. Critchley, Jr., JSC at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on Sept. 8. Tuscany-Silva, age 41, of Sparta, was sentenced to two years probation, continuing mental health treatment, a substance abuse evaluation and treatment, $2,330 in fines and a six month loss of driver’s license. She pled guilty on June 26 to two counts of third degree prescription fraud. On Feb. 25, she obtained a prescription for Vicodin by calling the Sparta Stop n’ Shop pharmacy and representing herself to be a doctor’s office. On May 4, she attempted to obtain Vicodin by doing the same thing through a phone call to the Weis pharmacy in Newton. Tuscany-Silva was represented by Kevin McLaughlin, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Reed.
