    August 4 Michael Suchdolski, 48, of Hamburg, was sentenced to three years probation with the condition that he serve 15 days in the SLAP program. He was also ordered to continue with anger management counseling. Suchdolski pleaded guilty on June 19, to the criminal offense of assault by auto. According to court records, on March 8, Suchdolski collided into the back-end of another vehicle in Hardyston Township. He got out of his vehicle and verbally assaulted the driver he had just struck. A passerby intervened and Suchdolski began to verbally assault that person. Suchdolski then got back in his vehicle and drove into the person that attempted to render assistance. Michael Royce, 18, of Oak Ridge, was sentenced to 150 days in the Sussex County Jail and three years probation. He pleaded guilty on June 26 to theft by deception. According to court records, Royce participated in the theft and fraudulent use of checks and an ATM card. The checks were used to purchase merchandise at the Wal-Mart in Newton. The purchased merchandise was then returned for money. August 7 Sussex County Prosecutor David J. Weaver announced the entry of a guilty plea to an accusation before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., J.S.C. at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton on Aug. 7, 2006, by Jeffrey N. Dekmar, 33, of Stockholm, who pleaded guilty to forgery. Sentencing is to take place Sept. 29. Dekmar admitted to entering a home without the homeowner’s permission, and stealing a check, forging the victim’s signature and then cashing the check. This occurred in Hampton Township on July 5, 2005. August 9 Christopher Lewinson, 28, of Unionville, N.Y., entered a guilty plea to an accusation charging him with possession of heroin and simple assault. Lewinson admitted to the court that on Aug. 2, 2005, he was a passenger in a motor vehicle that was stopped by Patrolman Marc Rubino of the Sparta Township Police Department. The police investigation revealed that the defendant was in possession of five bags of heroin and two hypodermic needles at the time of the traffic stop. He also admitted that on March 5, in Sussex Borough, he was involved in a domestic violence dispute and that he had physically assaulted the female victim. The heroin case was investigated by Ptl. Marc Rubino of the Sparta Township Police Department. The domestic violence case was investigated by Trooper J. McCooey of the New Jersey State Police. Lewinson is scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 6. Matthew Leon, 26 of Vernon, was sentenced to one year probation. As a condition of his probation the defendant was ordered to continue with his mental health counseling and to pay $155 in costs and fines. Leon pleaded guilty on May 30 to making terrorist threats. Leon admitted to the court that on Jan. 24, 2005, he threatened to assault and kill an adult female during a domestic dispute. Donna Abraham, 40, of Blakeslee, Pa., pleaded guilty to two counts of theft by deception. Sentencing is to take place in October. According to court records, on May 18, 2000 in Hackensack, Abraham obtained a mortgage loan for a property in Stillwater by giving false information regarding employment, income, assets and other financial data. She did the same on January 12, 2001 in Newark, for a mortgage loan for a different property in Stillwater. Ronald Webb, 45, of Hopatcong, entered a guilty plea to an accusation charging him with possession of a weapon (a shotgun) for an unlawful purpose and aggravated assault for pointing a firearm at a person. Webb admitted to that court that on Oct. 2, 2005, he was involved in a domestic dispute with an adult female. During the domestic dispute, Webb retrieved a shotgun from another room and fired the shotgun in the direction of the adult female who was sitting in a chair. The adult female was uninjured. Detective Larry Shaver, Patrolman Robert Tracey and Patrolman Matthew Bohn of the Hopatcong Police Department investigated the case. Webb is scheduled to be sentenced by on October 6, 2006. Barry F. McGuire, Jr., 44, of Byram, entered a guilty plea to an accusation charging him with possession of child pornography. McGuire admitted to the court that on Nov. 10, 2003, he had knowingly possessed numerous images of children engaged in prohibited sexual acts or in simulation of such acts and that he did so by storing those images on his computer. The case was investigated by the New Jersey State Police - High Tech Crimes Unit and the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office computer crime unit. McGuire is scheduled to be sentenced in October.
