    January 6 Korey Ball, 19, of Flanders, was sentenced to five years probation in drug court, 13 days credit for time served in jail, loss of driver’s license for six months, restitution of $1,410 and $1,455 in fines. Ball admitted to burglarizing a house in Hopatcong and another in Byram. The Hopatcong case was investigated by Hopatcong Det. Nicholas Maresca, and the Byram burglary was investigated by Byram Det. Todd Duffy. Ball also had admitted to possession of a controlled dangerous substance when he was found to be in possession of a Xanax tablet by Hamburg Police Officer David McNulry. Darren Kish, 40, of Ogdensburg, was sentenced to four years in state prison, $2,205 in fines and a six month loss of license. Kish pleaded guilty on Oct. 24 to cultivating marijuana. He was found to be growing 13 marijuana plants in the basement of his home on Sept. 8, 2004, following the execution of a search warrant by members of the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Gary Launch, 41, of Wantage, was indicted on two counts of making terroristic threats. The case was investigated by Trooper K Mowatt of the N.J. State Police. The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Robin Lawrie. Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be within the next six weeks. A Grand Jury indictment is a charge only. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial. Keith Campbell, 38, of Parsippany, was indicted for terroristic threats. The case was investigated by the Stanhope Police Dept. The case was presented to the Grand Jury by Assistant Prosecutor Robin Lawrie. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial. James Singer, 22, of Honesdale, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a period of two years. As a condition of his probation, he was ordered to serve 97 days in jail, to participate in substance abuse counseling and to pay $3005 in monetary penalties. Singer’s driving privileges in N.J. were suspended for six months. Singert pleaded guilty on Nov. 14 to two counts of possession of heroin, and one count of possession of a hypodermic needle. He admitted that on May 15 and on Oct. 1, 2005, he was in possession of heroin while in a motor vehicle in Sparta. Singer also admitted that he was in possession of a hypodermic needle on Oct. 1 January 9 Christopher Wade, 31, formerly of Hardyston, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance and to bail jumping. Wade admitted to possessing a quarter gram of methamphetamine on April 26, 2005, in Frankford. That matter was investigated by N.J. State Trooper William Hollar. He also admitted to failing to appear in court as required on June 6, 2005, in order to answer to the drug charge. Wade is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 17. Kyle Pappas, 18, of Sparta, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, burglary and theft. He admitted to possessing a small amount of heroin on Sept. 22, 2005, after Sparta Police Officer McCarrick responded to his home regarding a drug overdose. He also admitted to entering the property of Hardyston Paving and stealing two motorcycles from a warehouse there. He is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 17. George Wildrick, 30, of Andover, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with the intent to distribute, drug paraphernalia, and motor vehicle tickets for driving while suspended, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident. On Dec. 2, 2004, while driving with a suspended license, he was involved in a motor vehicle accident in Andover and left the scene, He was later taken into custody and found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine and approximately 100 “baggies” of a type used to package cocaine. He is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 17. Douglas Delellis, 25, of Vernon, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was found to be in possession of a half gram of cocaine after he was searched following an arrest for two outstanding warrants. The matter was investigated by Vernon Police Officer Kenneth Kuzicki, Jr. Delellis is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 17. Christopher Raymond, 37, of Franklin, pleaded guilty to burglary and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to burglarizing a condominium in Vernon on July 26, 2004, and to possessing heroin in Wantage on July 28, 2004. Those matters were investigated by Det. Sean Tall and Det. Brian Jernick of the Vernon Police Dept. Raymond is scheduled for sentencing on Feb. 10. January 10 Christopher Mackerley, 21, of Vernon, pleaded guilty to armed burglary and theft after he unsuccessfully sought to have evidence suppressed. Mackerley entered a residence in Franklin on Sept. 18, 2004, when the homeowners were away, and stole an assortment of property, including a firearm. Sentencing is anticipated for Feb. 3. James Smith, 26, of Franklin, pleaded guilty to burglary. Last month, Smith was tried before Judge Thomas J. Critchley and convicted of criminal trespass. On Sept. 18, 2004, Smith was an accomplice to the burglary of a residence in Franklin, and received property taken from the residence. Shortly before committing this crime, Smith entered another residence in Franklin without the owners’ permission. Sentencing is anticipated for Feb. 17.
