    April 17 Dwayne Finklea, 47, of Newton pled guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon and certain persons not to have weapons, both 4th degree crimes. Sentencing is scheduled for June 9. On Feb. 18 in Newton, the defendant was seen carrying a rifle from one residence to another, claiming he was giving it to a friend. He was on parole at the time of the incident, and weapons possession is a violation of parole. Melanie Griffiths, 29, of Montague pled guilty to three counts of third degree prescription fraud. She is scheduled for sentencing on June 2. She admitted that on Sept. 2, 2005, in Hamburg, on Sept. 9, 2005, in Sparta, and on Sept. 10, 2005, in Hampton Township, she obtained Vicodin by calling in prescriptions and representing herself to be an employee of a doctor’s office. Elvis Izaguirre, 31, of Stanhope, was sentenced to four years drug court probation, 40 days county jail, a seven-month loss of driver’s license and $2,358 in fines. He pled guilty on Dec. 12, 2005 to the third degree crime of possession of cocaine, driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended. He was found to be in possession of crack cocaine following a motor vehicle stop by Stanhope Police Officer Ryan Hickman on Sept. 12, 2005. He admitted to driving while having smoked marijuana and while his license was suspended. Edward Duerr, 36, of Hamburg, pled guilty to fourth degree criminal trespass, He is scheduled for sentencing on June 2. He admitted to remaining in a residence after tie had been asked to leave. April 18 Christopher Garrett, 22, of Hamburg was indicted on charges of assault by auto, a third degree crime. The case was investigated by the Hamburg Police Department. The indictment alleges that Garrett operated his vehicle recklessly while under the influence of alcohol, within 1,000 feet of school property, causing injury to another person. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial The Sussex County Grand Jury handed up an indictment charging Juliana Hoffman, 25, of Franklin with one count of third degree burglary and one count of third degree theft. The defendant is presumed innocent until guilt may be proved at a jury trial April 21 Randall Buscko, 20, of Vernon, was sentenced to ten years in state prison with 30 months of parole ineligibility, six month loss of driver’s license and $3,205 in fines. He pled guilty on Feb. 27 to the first-degree crime of the distribution of more than 100 mg. of LSD. He admitted that on Aug. 5, 2005, Sept. 6, 2005 and Oct. 11, 2005, he distributed a total of 112 doses of LSD-impregnated blotter paper to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Steven Savare, 32, of Stillwater, was sentenced to three years probation, 14 days credit for time served in county jail, six-month loss of driver’s license, 200 hours of community service, $1,205 in fines and $1,105.33 in restitution. He pled guilty on March 6 to third degree distribution of MDMA (Ecstasy). He sold eight Ecstasy pills on Aug. 5, 2005 at Ray’s Inn in Andover Township to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. Aida Malta, 30, of Hamburg, was sentenced to five years state prison, $2,505 in fines and a six-month loss of driver’s license. She pled guilty on February 27 to second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of third degree distribution of heroin. She admitted that she sold heroin to an undercover detective assigned to the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force on Nov. 30, 2005 in Wantage, and that on Dec. 22, 2005, she sold heroin to an individual while in the presence of her children. David Hock, 26, of Lafayette, was sentenced to five years state prison, $5,555 in fines and a six-month loss of driver’s license. He pled guilty on March 6 to two counts of distribution of heroin within 500 feet of a park, a crime of the second-degree, and to possession of heroin, a crime of the third-degree. He admitted that on June 8, 2005 he distributed four bags of heroin and on June 10, 2005, he distributed 22 bags of heroin to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force. The distributions occurred in his apartment, which was located within 500 feet of the Lafayette Municipal Park. He also admitted to possessing heroin on June 28, 2005 when a search warrant was executed at his residence by members of die Sussex County Narcotics Task Force and the New Jersey State Police. Brett Hosking, 20, of Franklin was indictyed on one count of third degree burglary, one count of third degree theft and one count of fourth degree joy riding. Fedder, 36, of Augusta, was sentenced to three years State Prison. As part of his sentence, Fedder must register under Megan’s Law, be subject to Parole Supervision for Life, provide a DNA sample and must pay fines and penalties in the amount of $1,850. He pled guilty on Jan. 31 to endangering the welfare of a minor a second degree crime and criminal sexual contact a third degree crime. On various occasions between June 1, 2003 and Nov. 29, 2004 Fedder had sexual contact with the intimate body parts of a female child under the of sixteen.
