    January 4 A juvenile pled guilty to third degree attempted theft. He/She was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 17, of Sussex, was sentenced to 12 months probation with 10 days detention (suspended) on condition that he/she have no contact with the victim or their family, write a letter of apology to the victim, attend school and follow all home and school rules, submit a DNA sample and pay court fees of $75. The juvenile attempted to take a Honda four-wheeler by jumping on the quad and attempting to start it, but was interrupted by the victim. January 16 Aniceto A. Rueda, age 23, of Newton pled guilty to one count of Criminal Sexual Contact, a 4th degree crime. Defendant in and between January and February 2006 had sexual contact with a female minor’s intimate parts on multiple occasions. The case against Rueda was investigated by Det. Tom Tosti and Det. Michael Monaco of Newton Police Department and Det. Jason Garrigan of the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office. January 17 Tracy L. Davenport, age 19, of Franklin, was sentenced to two years probation and must pay restitution to two victims in the amount of $4,079.20. She must pay total fines and penalties of $280 and submit a DNA sample at her expense. She pled guilty on Oct. 10, 2006 to theft by deception, a 3rd degree crime, and issuing bad checks, a 4th degree crime. Between June 5 and Aug. 1, 2005, she and a co-defendant wrote several checks to Wal-Mart in Franklin knowing there were insufficient funds in the account the checks were written against. Between Aug. 24 and Sept. 10, 2005, she issued eight checks to the Shop-Rite in Franklin totaling approximately S450, knowing the bank account that the checks were written against would not honor the checks.
