January 6 At 7:29 p.m. sheriff officers stopped Nathan McPeek, of Newton, for failing to keep right while traveling on County Route 618. McPeek failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. After being processed McPeek was released pending a municipal court appearance. He was charged with failure to keep right, having an open container of alcohol, reckless driving and D.W.I. January 7 At 12:38 a.m. Benjamin David Gardner, of Digmans Ferry, was stopped for motor vehicle violation along County Route 560 in Sandyston. Gardner failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Gardner was transported to the Sussex County Sheriff’s Department where same provided and failed additional breath samples. After being processed, Gardner was lodged in the Sussex County jail in lieu of $500 bail.
