Lafayette — Julie Lain-Trilling, facilitator of the Sussex County Chapter of the Holistic Moms Network, will be the guest speaker at the Northwest NJ Support Group Meeting, on Friday, June 22, at the Unity Church of Sussex County, in Lafayette. The meeting, designed to help holistic practitioners, will run from 9 to 10: a.m. The network is a non-profit support group for practitioners in the holistic profession and anyone wishing to know more about the holistic health profession. These support group meetings help to identify each practitioner’s needs, which will be met through open discussion and/or a clinical setting. Meetings are designed to help support your practice, our industry, and to build relationships. After the birth of her daughter, Lain-Trilling wanted to connect with parents who shared and respected her way of parenting and living. She did some research and found the Holistic Moms Network. She was at first tempted to join the chapter in Warren/West Morris, but after much contemplation, she realized that it was important to have an organization like this right in Sussex County. She knew there must be parents who were just waiting for an organization like this to pop up in Sussex. So, Julie decided to take the plunge and start up a chapter. The Sussex County Chapter of Holistic Moms Network kicked-off with an Open House in February, which was a great success. The group meets the second Tuesday of each month, and also has a play group that meets on varying dates and times once a week. Julie hopes the chapter grows to be what she knows it can. Co-facilitators are Donna Price and Linda Mitchell-Dominguez. The first visit is free, and after that, meeting dues are $5 for members and $25 for non-members.
