Dr. Kuchinski named director of emergency medicine at Saint Clare's Hospital
Sussex Joseph J. Kuchinski, D.O., has been named director of emergency medicine at Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex, according to Stephen Bocskocsky, vice president and chief administrative officer. Dr. Kuchinski, Mountain Lakes, has been an attending physician at Saint Clare’s for the past two years. He has served as an assistant professor of family medicine at the University of New England’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, and associate professor in the department of emergency medicine at New York’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. “We’re pleased to name Dr. Kuchinski as the new emergency room director at Saint Clare’s Hospital/Sussex,” noted Bocskocsky. “This is an important and busy position and Dr. Kuchinski has already demonstrated his great sense of care and medical management to the people and staff here in the greater Sussex area.” Dr. Kuchinski is board certified in emergency medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine and also serves as an officer of the Alumni Association Board of Directors for the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was educated at Ohio Northern University earning his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed residency training at the hospital of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center. He is past president and currently treasurer of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians and has served on its board since 1996. He is also past president and current treasurer of the charitable research foundation, the Foundation for Osteopathic Emergency Medicine, and is vice-chair of the American Osteopathic Association’s Bureau on Federal Health Programs which sets national policy and advocacy for patients and physicians. Dr. Kuchinski has been a presenter at numerous regional and national medical symposiums and has written and been published extensively on the subject of emergency medical care.
