Fatal Crash

A three-car collision on Route 517 in Vernon just before noon on April 17 claimed the lives of a Massachusetts man and his wife. Steve Olesin, 56, of Acton, Mass., was driving south on Route 517 near the intersection of Black Creek Road at around 11:52 a.m. on Monday when his 1998 Volvo crashed into a 2002 Chevy pickup being driven by Patrick McGrogan of Eric Trail in Vernon and a 2003 Ford being driven by Bryan Hynes of Birch Drive in Vernon, according to Bill Fitzgibbons, a First Assistant with the Sussex County Prosecutor’s office in Newton.
