    Children and family programs Gaming at the library Wii games. Board games. Free snacks. The Community Room at Main Library has been reserved the first Wednesday of each month, from 6 to 8 p.m., to provide a safe and warm stopping place for gamers to meet up with friends and enjoy group play. Two Wii game stations are set up, and a variety of board games and playing cards are available. Try something new or bring an old favorite. Kids in grades 4 and up are welcome. No registration required. Main Library: Wednesday Feb. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. The many facets of simple math Teacher June Nezamis continues to explore how one simple concept (revealed in a Disney film) relates to geometry, architecture, biology and more. Targeted to children in third-grade and up, this program is terrific for homeschoolers. Younger siblings also welcome. To register please call the library at 973 948-3660 ext. 3420. Main Library: Mondays Jan. 30, Feb. 6, 27 and March 5 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Lap sit program Books, songs and interactive fun are planned for children ages 6 months through 2 years old and their caregivers. The program starts at 10 a.m. at all branches and runs about 30 minutes. Participation is limited to 30. Call your local branch to register. Stories to warm your heart Celebrate Valentine's Day at Main Library as Miss Vickie leads an evening story time of tales with a heartwarming theme. By popular demand, the LEGO Club now meets the second Wednesday of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sussex-Wantage Library in Wantage, and the third Saturday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Main Library in Frankford. Each session includes a theme and book talk followed by an hour of LEGO creating. The club is open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Space is limited. Please call to register at whichever branch (or both) you'd like to attend. Sussex-Wantage: Wednesday Feb. 8 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Main Library: Saturday Feb. 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Be a buddy, not a bully Gather up the family and join the fun at Main Library for a film that celebrates this year's One Book One Community theme, Be A Buddy, Not A Bully. The movie is based on the popular book series "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" by Jeff Kinney, and is rated PG for some mild rude humor and mischief. Main Library: Monday Feb. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. Teen programs Onigiri Animanga Club The Onigiri Animanga Club meets the first Friday and third Saturday of each month at Main Library. Teens in grades 7 to 12 are invited to join in the discussion of favorite manga, watch anime, share snacks and more. For February the discussion will be the New York City outing to watch the "Fullmetal Alchemist" movie at the Friday meeting and spend time on Saturday planning future events. No registration required. Main Library: Friday Feb. 3 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday Feb. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. Just us teens book club New date, new time, new location, same great book club. Just Us Teens will meet at the Dennis Library on Main Street in Newton the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The club is open to teens in grades 7 to 12 and new members are always welcome. This month the discussion will center on books club members would like to recommend for the library to purchase. There's no registration required. Dennis Library: Monday, Feb. 27 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Adult programs The Sussex BARDS Sussex BARDS offers a supportive and encouraging environment for both aspiring and experienced writers. Those who are seeking to become published professionals or simply share their creativity with others are welcome. Due to holiday closings, BARDS will meet the first Monday and the third Tuesday in February from 6 to 8 p.m. Come share your work. All genres are welcome, no registration required.
