Expo brings together small farmers to share news and knowledge The 6th Annual Northeast Small Farm Expo took place this past weekend at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta. Various agencies associated with small farms assembled at the event to share information about such agricultural operations and to explain what is happening across the Northeast with small farms. Livestock exhibits, service agency and supply industry displays, combined with active demonstrations during the two-day event, so that interested participants could gain first-hand knowledge and information on what could be beneficial to their own activities. The Sussex County Agricultural Society had a large display of memorabilia from farming days gone by, which proved to be of great interest to many of the visitors. One of them, Lincoln Klaver from Hackettstown, said, “I used to live on a farm so many of the items on display her are quite familiar to me and it brings back a lot of memories.”
