Fight results in arrest for weapons possession in Newton

Newton - On Monday, July 17, at 2:03 a.m. Newton Police officers were called to a parking lot on lower Spring Street for a report of approximately 10 people fighting. Upon arrival, many of the involved persons had fled; however, officers were able to locate Santiago Marzilino still in the area. Marzilino, 23, who resides in Newton, was suspected of being involved in the dispute. Marzilino was found to be concealing a 12-inch serrated knife in the waistband of his shorts. Marzilino was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. He was served a summons complaint and released from custody pending court.
